ARE YOU HOSTING AN EVENT which you feel we might fit? Please let us know!

We are experienced with events that last from several hours to several days, and which have from a couple dozen to a couple hundred thousand people. We are able to scale down to a small table or up to a full 10x10 festival tent and theme ourselves, and our patterns, accordingly.

What You Need To Know:

Henna is a wonderfully universal experience, and while we'd like to accept every event and fundraiser invitation, the reality is that not every event and regional area will be able to support the amount of time it takes for us to prepare for them. On average, a 6 hour event will take 6 hours of additional preparation. A 10 hour event will take 10 additional hours to prepare for, and so on. We have to take this into account when we evaluate each event to make sure it will be viable for us, and that includes milage and other expenses.

Prohibitive Booth Fees and Suggestions For Event Coordinators:

If you are an event coordinator, we'd like to ask you to consider a booth fee price point for on-demand artists such as henna artists, face painters and others who produce custom work at the event. We are not able to generate the kind of income a food booth or merchandise booth can since our custom artwork is created one piece at a time for each person. We appreciate that you have costs to cover as we do, but when a compromise can be reached in which the artist and the event can both make money, then everyone wins.

In some cases, event coordinators have traded booth space in exchange for providing live performance art, which adds to the interest of the event as a whole. In other cases, event coordinators have merely charged a percentage of the artist's take during the event. Or alternatively, the event coordinator has compromised by charging both, a reduced booth fee and a percentage of the artist's take. While there is some trust involved with the latter two arrangements, the artist realizes that the more money he can generate for the event, the more likely the event coordinator will make that arrangement in the future.

Please consider that many events today are populated with corporate sponsored booths, which we realize is necessary and important, and which in many cases, is the only way that certain events can happen period. But also consider that it's often the small, independent artists and craftspeople who bring the culture, intrigue and personality to these events, making them unique and memorable for the visitors.

In any case, we invite you to contact us and tell us about your event. We are always on the lookout for shows and festivals which will be mutually beneficial.
